The articles I read about the Emmy awards, stated she did research in animal handling.  Whether or not people understand that is another matter.  But at least the movie won five awards, which should put some additional attention to her story.

We saw the part of the awards where they won the "Best Made for TV Movie".  She's apparently gotten over her problem with hugging people!!

The movie actually won seven Grammys.  Two of them were presented for Art Direction, etc. earlier in the week and five last night.    Best Movie, Actress, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, & Director---I'd say that kind of sweeps their category!!!

Great Movie---Amazing personal achievment for her and her family, etc!!!

I enjoyed the movie, but it was a bit hokey in parts.  I enjoyed "The Women Who Thinks Like a Cow" BBC documentary much more.  It is posted on You Tube.  None the less, Dr. Grandin's accomplishments are a great story for both autism and the cattle industry.  Hollywood accepting an animal scientist is nearly as amazing.
