Any Opinions on this calf would be appreciated. He weighs about 750 now and will be shown slick

He looks nice, got a real cutability look to him. I would like to see him a bit softer, but that may come with age and feed.

As for the guy asking about breeding to milkman: He throws some really good calves, but i have heard many horror stories of really high birthweights.

We have had several Milkman calves with more to come in the future. Finally got a good black steer out of him to show this year. He packs the muscle and bone on them. All of the white calves we have had have little rat tails.

I think he is a really nice calf.  Yes he is a little tight middled but you say you just got him on feed, he is young, and in my experience a lot of the Milkman calves dont get that softness and depth until their closer to finishing.  I think he is a pretty cool fronted, big boned calf, that definately has some power and substance to him.  I think his hip is ok as well.  Doesnt look like he has much hair in this pic, and people would be surprised what hair will do for one to make him square, when you pull the hair off the truly powerful ones they all tend to get a little slope in my opinion.

Calf is on 18lbs of straight finisher and 2lb of Beet pulp right now. I just think this calf needs to get fat
