Looks like a nice steer espically to show in the simmy division. Great hair. Looks like he could use some more lower quarter but he has hair to help with that and might be thicker then the picture shows. I'm susprised he didn't get to keep his manhood with the price of Dream On semen.
I think he'll make a nice steer for you. I'd also like to see more depth of body but that should come. I might be having visual illusions because of my new wide screen moniter too.. everything looks long & shallow - distorted.

Thanks for the comments. I have a local kid coming to look at him, but if he doesn't buy him, I will have him for sale.
He is an April calf out of a nice halfblood cow we own. (Three Trees Prime Cut x Nichols Black Destiny).
I thought about keeping him as a bull, but there is so much Dream On genetics out there that I just decided to go ahead and band him. I can tend to get rid of steers easier than bulls here as well.
Dream On semen has been holding steady for a while. It can be had pretty easily for $35 a straw. It is impossible to argue against his abilities to sire good ones, however the Simmie breed better find a good outcross and soon.

Dream On at $30 -35 is about as much as I'd want to pay. I have a feeling that his price is going to go up. People can say what they want about the bull but he's definitly made a positive impact on the breed. We have some older cows that carry some older bloodlines & the plan is to put DO in most of them this year. I agree though, it's tough to find an outcross but I've got my eye on a few bulls for the future.
As a rule I love the reds, and Dream On has really brought them back full force. The only problem is the red outcross is almost non existant. You have Trademark, Freedom, Caesar and then it gets pretty scarce for newer red blood lines.
You will never hear me complain about what Dream On did for the breed. If you see a good one, chances are you see that Dream On name somewhere in the ancestory.
