Our steer that was so good when he was young (1st 3 months) totally pudded out. He may weigh 400 pounds at 7 months and won't grow. Can't send him on cause we'll get hammered at the yard so guess we'll try to feed him out.

Can you tell us what kinda cow he was bred to??? was it a first time heifer, her frame score, milking, or has she raised any good calves prior to the Tiger Woods??? Thanks

Check out the Clear Choice sale in Nebraska of Meysenburg/Ruth. They have 3 out of different cow pedigrees and all 3 are real good IMO.

Tony, do we call you or Quentin to get info on the cattle on that sale and where the bids are at?

She was a HW so that should answer you about milk. He had creep in front of him from 2 weeks old on, but that HW dam took its toll IMHO. She would be a low 5 frame score, calf would be a 3 maybe on a good day 4. Her 1st calf was out of an angus clean up bull and did alright, so this was her 2nd calf. like I said he looked great until about 2-3 months then bam it went south.

This a picture of the Tiger Woods steer I took at the Clear Choice sale today. Good friends of mine have this sale, IMO a calf worth checking out.

Had a calf born in Feb that was black and white. Looked super cool as a calf but has kinda dissapointed as he has grown up. He was out of a commercial angus dam that milked good and he has grew good. Calf has lots of guts and spring of rib, and nice fronted but he is  pretty weak flanked and has an ass that looks like an angus. The steer will make a good county fair project but thats about it.
