I am AI'ing some of my cattle this Wednesday morning at 8:00AM, then I can't put them in my summer pasture until Friday Morning. It is about an hour drive to my summer pasture. My question is it safe for to transport them 2 days after the AI, rite around 48-49 hours after AI? Then I will have them on pasture until end of September with my clean up bull. So if they don't take with AI, I am guessing they will be over 90 days pregnant before bringing them home, they will be over 120 days if they take by AI. Those amount of days pregnant safe to transport them home, about an hour drive? Thanks for you advice.

Yup the 30ish days is the one to stay away from. That is when the embryo is attaching. I would do it sooner after AI then later. Also the 90 to 120 days pregnant is fine too. Most embryo places will wait to ship out after a 60 day pregnancy.

Thanks Frostback, I transported this morning 48 hours past the AI. I think it worked out well as it was nice and cool this morning only being 52 degrees out when I transported them. They loaded up real nice without having to pressure them, so I have my hopes up that I will have good results as the transport went well and the summer pasture is doing really good from our winter moisture, I have free choice mineral out and they are not touching it, so they must be good. Then I will not have to bring them back until the beginning of October.
