I've done it once on a Yellowjacket heifer and have a very good steer calf to show for it.  He was tiny at birth, but came early in out heat this late Aug.

One of Troubador's owners has said on here not to.

My advice - if you watch heifers very, very closely when calving and have the experience and facilities to pull one quickly, you might get away with it.

i have had 2 calves out of him out of big cows one was 135# and the other at 105 the one that was 135 was 2 weeks early also out of a mossy oak x angus cow the other was out of a who made who cow ..        i would never use him on  a heifer

These birthweights are nothing like what i have had , mine were all 65-70 lbs .

I don't know about Troubador, but don't use his son Choppin Wood on heifers. We had a 120# calf. Of course his dam is a Heat Wave.
