We haven't had a bunch of them here, but CMAC Tyson has been one of the most consistent sires I've used over the years. Here's a February 3/4 Maine calf we'll be showing this fall out of a OCC Legend cow. Wish I had a better profile picture, but haven't been able to get my finger on the trigger when he's posing lately....

Super nice calf. Looks like a herd bull in the making.

Regarding Maines', I believe there have been more good reports on Tyson then any other Maine sire mentioned on Steer Panet. I like his ability to downsize bigger cows or just keep calves moderate out of moderate framed cows. I also like their structural design especially on the rear wheels (more flex in pastern and good angle in the hock).

Can't wait until we get some reports on his females.

His calves are thick.  I too would like to know about what type of dams he produces.

If you don't mind me asking, what else is the cow that's legend? What is her frame like? Tyson is high percent maine right? From his picture he just doesn't look like he has much side to him.

The Legend dam (AMAA # 386925) is out of a BK Power Plus cow. Nice udder and milks pretty well. I've heard some negative reports about Legends not milking much, but this one's fine. The cow is probably a low frame 5. This calf looks like he might be a touch bigger framed but not much. He'll tip the scales pretty well though. More guts at this age than most of my high % Maines. Tame as a kitten too. Just hope he gets some hair. That would make him really fun.
