The twin Monopoly X Who Made Who heifers have calved from this post http://www.steerplanet.com/bb/index.php?topic=11849.0 .  We bred them both to Bush's Grand Design an Angus bull.  First twin had a heifer calf and the second one had a bull calf.  The heifer was born with no problems all by itself it was up running around weighed about 65 lbs.  The bull calf  was about 70lbs he need a little help it only took a slight pull on one foot and she pushed it out.  When we bred them to Grand Design I was not going for the clubby market  more of the live calf market.  Now that we have one live calf out of them I will try and breed them to something a little more clubby.  I was thinking about Wazn't Me since we have the semen here already but might try something different if I can be convinced.
1st and 2nd picture are of the heifer and the 3rd picture is of the bull calf.  It was really hard to get good pictures, the mothers are always leading the calves away from us they just calved a few days ago.

Very nice heifers and calves. I think you were very smart in breeding them the way you did. Once they have had that first calf there is lots of time to challenge them with sires that produce more BW or thickness. They look like they are going to make excellent brood cows! BTW, How did your herd bull make out? Is he getting better or is it a serious career ending injury?

Mater our herd bull is getting better but won't be any good for this breeding season. I will keep him and see how he heals for a few months.  His swelling is going down and he is not carring his leg too much.

I think in the long run you will be very happy that you kept them. I also say good job on going for live calf instead of clubcalf. (thumbsup)
