Attached is a picture of our April 26th Waco bull calf out of a Marquis 86G cow.  We caught him, washed him, trimmed him and then took a picture of him.  Those Waco's are so quite he almost put his only halter on.
What our your thoughts on him?

Looks very good, had a waco heifer out of Duis's sale that had to be put down.  Got her feet stuck in something and tore them all up, couldn't be saved.

He had a birth weight of 89#.  He goes back to El Boniito and the Minnie cow family on the bottom side.  His reg # is 4175871

He's really nice. Are you going to promote semen on him or anything?
Not sure what to do.  Thinking about selling him, but where, when and how?

I really like him. With an 89# birthweight and that kind of breeding on the bottom side, this guy has got to have some serious interest to some people out there for making some really good cows. I just purchased a Marquis son from A&T Cattle Co. and being that we are a part of the Waco syndicate this calf makes me feel even better about these purchases. I will be getting some more Waco semen at Louisville and Bill Rasor says that his sale will be featuring Waco calves this spring. Good luck with this guy. With that pedigree, solid red, and his fancy look, he definitely has a lot of value in my mind.  (thumbsup)

Is he out of a maternal sister to Mickey? If so: you really should develope him some-I am probably one of the very few people who know what Micky was-THE BEST BREEDING SON OF SONNY-of the last 5-6 years. Longs and you quietly produced top sellers at Iowa etc-but it seems like nobody got it. Micky worked great on Mr Gus 80c,per the son at Wernickes-It would stand to reason that Waco (with the Canadian dam) would really hit on his cow family.JMO O0

I've got several straws of Mickey in MY tank...  I noticed what he did ;)  The only problem is... that I'm 200 miles away from the cows- and to get one to settle by shooting a stick in the air- simpily wouldn't work. (lol)

You are right Mark, the Waco bull goes back to Mickey.  Mickey gave us some really good females.  We have a few in our small herd, wish we had more.  They milk really good, and  keep their flesh.
Still don't know how to market this Waco bull.  Open to ideas.

Id drag him a little-he looks like a good one-or Iowa beef expo. Or-use him some-I think you could sell a little semen-Cattle Visions would pick him up off of Mickys rep-or SEK. O0
