Ways to fill out without using alfalfa

My calf Is on quite a bit of protein and don't wanna give him any more but I need him I fill out more for stock show any ideas??

We always use grass hay because of protein amounts. For fill we use beet pulp and cotton seed hulls. We have also used depth charge and winning fill.

We have had real good luck feeding Purina's Pre-Conditioning Cubes/feed.  I started using it because our feed stores Purina representative told us it works great for adding volume to cattle.  You can get it in 50lb bags and you will need to keep some around because the cattle love it.
