What bull would you use to flush?

I've got a Lowline X Shorthorn X Angus female that I am considering flushing.  She's a Sin City granddaughter.  IMHO, she's got plenty of length, even if she doesn't look like it in the pic below & she's got more extension than the pic shows too (her head is turned).  She's got good hair.  She also has a great looking udder & more than enough milk.  Her calf is only a few days old, but he already looks like a keeper.  I thought that he was black when he was first born, but he's got some roaning.  Anyway, I am impressed enough that I am thinking hard about flushing her.  Not sure which way to go with her, because she's so maternal, but I think that she could really make some nice steers.  But, it would be nice to get some heifers too.  Been thinking about Monopoly, TM Gus (Shorthorn marked calves), maybe a Hannibal son like Tycoon, NCharge or Shadow or possibly a Smoke bull.  IDK... what do you think?    Pic of her as a yearling below...

If she were mine I would flush her to 3C Macho, a Meyers 734 son.  Would make some excellent steers and the females would be superior.

It looks like this girl will give you some wiggle room on what you flush her to!  She looks great!  BTW, I agree about her length.  She is plenty long for me and the reason some may disagree is because how much volume she has. 

I like her. Dont think id go monopoly, Too much angus. If she were mine and I were going to flush her for steers id go Heatwave and for replacements Id go wmw. I'd let her have a wmw naturally as I dont know if she can handle a hw calf on her own.

How big is she? Looks way too small to make Monopoly, or maybe even HW work for steers, but could just be the picture. If I were you I'd definetly look toward that Hannibal route, but I think I'd use Hannibal himself. TH and PHA free, has worked extremely well on Shorthorns, will add the shot of grow that a half Lowline probably needs for most guys. The downfall of the Hannibal line of cattle is that they can lack heart and rib pretty bad and get a little big, but that sounds like a nice cross on 1/2 Lowline to me. Just my 2 cents

IDK exactly, but she's going to be around 47-48" mature, I think.  Not really that tall, but really stout.  If she had been a steer, I think that she could've weighed in the 1,100-1,200 range pretty easily.  I don't mind short as long as they are flat out good & can weigh 1,200+.  I think Monopoly could produce big enough for me.

I'm not trying to bash on Monopoly or your cow. The bull sired a huge list of high sellers and I saw some that would have been super fun to own if I had deeper pockets. The cow looks to be really cool, massive, flat good for your purposes, but I think that this decision comes down to what market you are going for with the offspring. In my opinion, Monopoly isn't going to add frame to very many cows. Take the Lowline out of the equation, I'd say he may even downsize the average club calf cow. I just couldn't see justifying flushing this cow to him because I see the best case scenario being steers that top out around 1200 and 48" as fats, which isn't really big enough to go out and win anything major in the Midwest, but on the other hand, one that was that size and covered in mud sold for like $22,000, so maybe I'm way wrong. Is there a place to show the 1/4 Lowline females that the flush would produce? They could be real cool for that. For steers, I think you have to add just a tad more grow

You could go PB Shorthorn and ad a ton of traits that breed really needs. There would be plenty of Shorty bulls that could make em big enough, and they would be really well complimented by your cow's width, structure, and size.

Regardless what you choose, she looks good

She looks like the type of cow HANNIBAL is reccomended for in all the sire catalogues

Saw the muddy monopoly in person. He was not big at all. If was good though. Real good. If he makes 50" mature height would be pushing it.

Simmi- Tons of Simmi's that would work. Macho is my choice and I really like him. He won't add bone but he will make a pretty replacement.

TJ, First of all I haven't seen you on here much!  Welcome back!  For this cow I am with several others,  I think HW or Monopoly may be too moderate for her!  Not saying a moderate, chunky little guy won't sell well!  I usually shoot for the end product as I'm more into the Fat shows than the Progress shows but that's just me!  The Black Impact is actually intersting and one I wouldn't have thought of!  You would get to touch all spectrums with this mating!  They would have the look for steers and the maternal would be promising as well!

Hannibal or Tycoon would be a good bet!  I love N-Charge but he is pretty moderate!  Until his crop comes out this Spring,  I think Tycoon may be the better fit for your cow!

My favorite sire to mate your cow would be Dr Who!  You should be able to market steer and female prospects with this mating!  Good luck and let us know which way you go!

try WCC gunsmoke he would add size and hes smokey

You might try Irish wiskey for hiefers or mabey manchild for steers but he goes back to hannible who would be pretty cool too your choice with many options have fun  <beer>

DoubleVision could hit a homerun w her as well for steers especially.

I might try Gus for a blue roan calf.
