We just bought some Sullivans Power Champ that has Zilmax in it.  Supposed to help with appetite and muscle expression.  Tried to feed it as a top dress last night and he would not eat it, so we will try mixing it in.  Has 3 day withdrawal and should not be fed more than 20 days according to the Vet.

Probably stabilized rice bran -- it seem I was buying some in pellet form last year that had sodium bicarb (baking soda) in it, so that would help to buffer.  You might need to add more baking soda than what you were indicating on your other post.  Check with your vet though as they will have a better idea how much is too much.

yeah we have been adding more and he will smell the grain and only eat where there is baking soda but the vet said we cant put too much baking soda because it will start to hurt his stomach more than help and have an opposite effect.

Canola oil. It's cheap, effective and easily accessible. Work your way up to 1-2 cups daily depending on how quickly you need him finished. I've done it with my last two steers and am really happy with the reults. Good luck!
