I have a 25% maintainer heifer that I will be breeding. She is a first calf heifer. I would like to have a high percent maintainer or a shorthorn plus calf from her. So I am looking for a maine or shorthorn bull to AI her to. What bulls do you recommend ?
Sire: CHF DR Chill: Chill Factor x CHF Witchy 217
Dam: unregistered (purebred Hereford)

You need to add the pedigree of your heifer. You will get more replies that way  (thumbsup)

Majors money man works well for us on heifers. This is a Money Man out of a Tyson 1/2 blood. Good luck!!!

We really like our Simplicity calves. Small and easy coming at birth, and very vigorous. He's an Ali x Money Man

This is a Simplicity x Shorthorn first calf heifer.

No matter what Maine bull you breed a 25% heifer to, you will not be able to get a High Percentage (75%) calf.  Personally, I would recommend Montego Bay to breed a heifer to, but I am a little bias.  (lol)

Mercedes Benz or maybe Special Delivery direct whiskey or frisky whiskey. Depending on how clean she is in through her front end i would consider using a Simmental. High regard, American pride, GCC whizard, grizzly, and limestone trifecta are some good options

To really help, we need to know the strengths & weaknesses of your Heifer. To improve, you must breed for the heritable traits which are lacking.

So, let's hear what your heifer.  #1. You want a higher percentage, so we need a PB MA bull. What else?

This isn't the best picture it's from a show in the beginning of October. I know I defiantly need more bone and depth.

I think Mark Mueller at DMCC uses them both interchangeably  so I have also... we have a bodybuilder steer as a prospect in the Jayhawk this weekend.. since his Dam was a purebred he can show as a maine

We have a couple coming this spring. I have Bodybuilder #1 in the tank.
Another 1/2 to 5/8s bull that I am watching is Chap's bull Afterhours.
