 If you decide to go SM, MO is stay with a PB so that you calves will qualify foundation SM. You can get Black Bear semen from Bill Dwyer Directly & I think fair priced for a flush situation.
  The way things are looking in the ring lately, you may want to concider a higher % Chi bull. The CTR Success females are good mommas. You are hoping mainly for heifers correct?

we have used shorthorns on are registerd angus and they worked really we the add a bigger frame with more leg but have the depth. They still turn out to be good momas and great clubcalf producers. Sincity, double stuff, polar express and salute.

yes primarily making these eggs to get females. might keep a bull calf as a maternal herdsire as well...................and as for the shorthorn idea, i'm not shorthorn's biggest fan so i'll probably stay away from them but thanks for the idea
