Yes , he is double clean. Chad Sumner did own him and then sold him to Dustin.

I bought the bull from Glover as a calf back in 2007 - We showed him a couple of times and he was the Champion Shorty Bull at the GA National as a calf - I used him here at my place for a while and also leased him to SKF on here for a breeding season - I never had any calving issues at all nor did SKF - In my experiences I would feel good about using him on heifers - I traded him back to Glover in a steer deal - He was as sound as you could make one and was a very good breeder (big nutted) - I think he will downsize much like his sire and I would recommend him on larger framed (dirty) cows - always wanted to see him on some dirty Maine/Angus type cows - If you give him a shot on those type cows I don't think you will be disappointed - hope this helps * he is tested THF and as far as I know he is PHAF though I did not test him-new owners probably have.

Question because I am not well versed in shorthorn color genetics:  Would he throw white calves on Charolais cows?  I assume on simangus cows they would be roan, black, or white?

They could either be white or a diluted version of any of the shorthorn colors.

Was this bull original registration name PLM Blanco?  I noticed under the progeny there are only 5 calves registered.  Has the bull not been used that much?  I really likes the looks of this bull and was thinking of using him on some black shorthorn plus cows.

The bottom side of the bulls pedigree is pretty exciting. Some maine influence and some interesting shorthorns, Including Diamond Leggs 21, 7T's, Byland, Pa Do, Rodeo Drive. With the right cow, I could see him going either way for females or steers.

We leased him from Chad Sumner a couple of years ago and I can tell you he is calving ease. His calves all were very sound, great dispositions and we kept a couple of his daughters and they are excellent milkers! The only thing I would say to watch out for is he will down size so use him on your bigger cows/heifers.
