if short bodied and dumpy tickles you.. Heck, I have a shorthorn calf that could look like that if clipped up right.. he's got 5 inches of hair...  But I'm ready to steer him.

I guarantee you don't have one that could look like that. Looks like he might toe out on his front leg.

He may toe out on his foot some. Hard to be completely straight when carrying the madd that he does. I would like to see a little more flex to his hock and a little longer cannon bone but I realize it's a cell phone pic and I bet he's a pretty good animal. Being a HW I bet he is more moderate than small. I don't think his shoulder is too bold and some HW's are a little tight hearted until they get older. Awesome color and great haired and I like his lower quarter. Interesting to see how he compares to his maternal brother...

I heard that Lautner has some of the best bulls he has ever had. I'm bettin that Matt's bull Springsteen will be on the top for Denver.

I think it will for sure be wade or Matt. Trauschs will probably all be eye candys. I do feel Garwood has the best bull genetically. His pedigree is great....milkman x N117. Hard to beat that....

Matt Lautner just posted a picture of this guy on twitter...says he will be at Denver. Impressive.

Yeah , no, yours won't clip up like that. From flank to flank that one is longer bodied than yours and out  weighs him by 800+ lbs.Funny mister "I hate all things clubby " Bragging about all the hair his 400 lber has and calling him growthy.

I agree. Plus the head size on his calf in comparison to the calfs body is way too big, when you see calves like that it means the calf is small in stature in my opinion and experience. Yes I know there is hair on the calfs head too. Small footed too.

I think lautners just buy up what ever bull calves they can and promote them. I like alot of wades bulls. Quality over quantity. not saying that lautners dont have good bulls. i just think that with the way the industry is we dont need these all these so so bulls we need a hand full of the best ones.
Sorry young gun im confused, Not to change direction, but the four=4 bulls you listed on the gelbvieh/balancer heifer post as the best to cover said heifers, who owns and/or promotes those bulls?

I never said i didnt like lautners bulls. i just think they have a LOT of extra bulls that they only half heartedly promote. Go to Lautners website and look at all the bulls they have and thinkk of how many bulls you have actually seen calves out of and then think of how many winners you have seen out of those bulls. The bottom lot  doesnt catch alot of publicity

How are we to guess who will have the best critter there when most everyone on here argues for months after Denver about the best/ worst bull. I'm going out on a limb and saying chuck Norris will bring a calf then we can all agree.

Just for fun, does anyone know of any purebred bulls that will be displayed that we may want to see and keep track of?
