First. It wasnt inside info. If you watch the blog you would know about if they are still having their show. I am in no way affiliated with trausch. And second i was saying this bull really isint as impressive as everyone thinks he is.

It's amazing you make a comment about something and all of a sudden you are affiliated with someone. People can't have their own opinion now? If that's the case this site might as well come down.

It really gets under my skin how you people talk problems structure off of a cell phone pic. I guarantee you I could clip that bull out and make it him look however you want with the amount of hair he has. A leg can be clipped as straight as a fence post, but if that calf has the right set to their hock, knee, and pastern, it doesnt matter what the hair looks like. True structural integrity cannot be analyzed until you see one on the move and in person.  Please stop the jealous and ignorant comments

I made a comment about the bull just like every person on the thread. Just because someone knows when a show is does not mean they are affiliated with someone. And agree with you 100% DSC

Lautner and Goretska have been very sucessful on their promotions and winnings.  I doubt that they are going to spend 60k on a bull who is too short, straight legged, and tight flanked. open your eyes a little bit. its a cell phone pic. those aren't always the best pics.

So are you telling us that they purchased the bull for 60k or will spend 60k promoting him or both?

I thought somewhere at the beginning of the post I read that Goretska raised the bull. I agree it is impossible to make a decision on the bull without seeing him, I also agree that Lautners are the Don King of promoting clubby bulls. I would like to see the bull in his everyday work clothes before I spent any money on him though and I doubt that I will ever get that opportunity.

" I never said i didnt like lautners bulls. i just think they have a LOT of extra bulls that they only half heartedly promote. Go to Lautners website and look at all the bulls they have and thinkk of how many bulls you have actually seen calves out of and then think of how many winners you have seen out of those bulls. The bottom lot  doesnt catch alot of publicity"

That's why this summer they had a sale of bulls like Big John & Crimson Tide, as well as some other bulls.  Sold for between $4000-$8000 if I remember correctly...included semen rights.

Just for fun, does anyone know of any purebred bulls that will be displayed that we may want to see and keep track of?

They (not just Lautners, at least some if not all of the other big names mentioned here) make pretty good money leasing them out, too.  At $1500 and up (depending on which bull) per month, with a two month minimum, that makes alot of those bulls that may never sell a ton of semen still pay off.

Which is still not to say that leasing those bulls isn't a good deal from the side of the breeders that choose to lease an already promoted bull in lieu of trying to AI all their cows, or just to clean up with.

I heard in a real round about way that a probable pha calf(cow died) was born to two registered herfords last year.

My momory's not the best but I found this one.  Thought there was another...
Lautner Farms Online Bull and Semen Sale - Auction Begins June 20th
1 Bull Name: Big John Offering: 100% ownership and right to collect semen
2 Bull Name: Carlos O Kelly  Offering: 100% ownership and right to collect semen
3 Bull Name: Cassius Clay Offering: 100% ownership and right to collect semen

So, anyone seen Iron Man (Who Da Man x Heatseeker/6651)?  Looks pretty nice to me.  Like his breeding.  National Champion Chi bull x proven genetics on the bottom...
