I'm already picking out bulls for next year. She'll be bred for her second calf. Any good bulls that might click with her? I'd love to get some color.

yep, the biggest WA calf ive had is 82 pounds and a lot of my unstoppables are 70-80 pounds. with her size, the calf isn't going to be big anyway. and as long as he doesn't pound silage to her in the last semester she would have them with no issue

Dont we need to know how she is bred and her PH status before we can make recommendations? :-\

Interesting that no one asked.  Yes you do, as well as TH status, and what are the goals for the breeder.  Big difference between going for a maternally bred heifer versus a terminal market calf.

Either way I always breed my valuable second calvers for low birth weight and usually maternally oriented.

I should have mentioned, she is free of TH and PHA. She has got char, shorthorn, simmy, and angus blood in her out of commercial cows and bulls. I'd like to breed for a maternally bred heifer. I'll also add she had a 65 lb BW. Any other information I should throw in?

Given that info, I'd breed her using a P.B. bull.  Both Maine and Angus will give you that plus calving ease.  Mercedes Benz will give you a Maintainer and a good chance at color like you mentioned was desirable earlier.

Hope for a heifer.

2nd calf and you wouldn't mind some color why not a good Hereford? Give her another nice easy calf with some crome but could make a heck of a replacement too. Just what I would do anyway.

Maternal Perfection might work good. Carpe Diem will give you color & keep the calf functional. MAB would prob work. Cool Water would be pretty cool too
