I keep a supply of Vinegar, Infusium 23, and Pink hair conditioner in our box.  We dont have a WalMart with ethnic hair care so Walgreens is our go too for that stuff.  Also use Olive Oil hair conditioner, and Motion hair conditioner.  We try to save money where we can.  Now if they would only carry Rice Root Brushes at DG ..... lol

DUCT TAPE OR GORILLA TAPE.  ;D some electric fence wire and wire cutters

We use shaving cream still instead of foam cuz its cheaper. Most shows we go to allow no color. Pink oil we get wholesale in bulk through beauty supply place. I do keep one can of the expensive stuff for shows. Always have primtime and formula one adhesives and ez-all to break it all down. extension cords- heavy duty can never have enough. Extra light bulbs for you lights.

I learned this the hard way! For those of you whoes cattle have horns or even scurs blood stop powder is a must. Nothing worse then poping a cap off 30min before your class

For something better than Hocus Pocus, I couldn't recommend ez all adhesive remember enough. The stuff is great.

what would life be without a strand of baling wire! I also have tons of zip ties, copies of the show rules, all of the calf papers, extra halters and tie ropes, and a bible.  (It never hurts.)

I did find a new product at Walmart that I haven't had a chance to use yet but might come in really handy.  And it is dirt cheap.  In the baby items aisle I found a product that is called "Equate Detangler Spray" and it is like $1.30 a 10 oz spray bottle.  I am thinking of trying this instead of the infusium.  I actually bought it for my hair - I also have some infusium for myself - and have liked this product better.  It may be a lighter conditioner and good for summer.  If anyone else gives it a try, let me know what you think.  And I will update after some use also.  Good luck!

The best thing for daily hair care is 2/3 Kleen Sheen and 1/3 rag oil.  Let is soak in overnight and rinse.  Great moisturizer.  Goto sullivansupply.com

Try this stuff for an adhesive remover! www.smoothimprovements.com
Comes in an aerosol can, smells like oranges and is the cheapest stuff that Ive found that really works!

Sullivans Freshen Up..it is actually made for sheep, but it is awesome for the cattle's hair, really helps keep it moisturized. I have not found anything that remotely will make the hair pop or keep the hide as soft as this stuff. We use it at home a couple of times a week also.  Definitely agree with the extra plug in adapters, also extra extension cords, we never seem to have to many.

Ya, I use Freshen Up too, it seems to bring out the color, I also use Zoom Bloom, sometimes final bloom, and Prime Time adhesive for show day, always bring extra show sticks, combs, halters, neck ties, and I use an electrical strip, don't have to have as many extension cords. I use Hocus Pocus after the show and immediately wash them out with Sullivan's clear choice shampoo.

i always bring my scrubby brush, pink oil(i find that final bloom makes the hair greasy and results in lifeless hair) mane and tail shampoo just in case i have a dirty cow but i usually wash the night before, aussie or big sexy hair spray works great for small blow and go shows for a tail head as long as anyone isnt watching, 2 scotch combs regular and skip tooth. prime time, hocus pocus, dawn, mens shaving cream, auburn and black paint and id say thats about it for grooming supplies.

RK also has other products for showday and for everyday care of your animal.  I have started using RK products this yr on our showstring and I absolutely love 'em.. check out their website www.rkanimalsupplies.com or pm me for more info. on some products.........  Momma Hilltop :)

There are many products that people have already mentioned that you need but I would greatly recommend whatever you decide to stock your showbox with give Highland Livestock Supply a try.  They are GREAT!  I have been ordering all of my stuff from them the past couple of years and everyone I talk to about them all talk very highly of them.
