Hi We are coming from Punta Gorda so I am only 20 mins. away that's why I am so glad that they are having one in Arcadia instead of Lake City. Our bull is from Diamond M farms in Alabama. He is 7 months old and he is out of Irish Whiskey. Were did your maine bul come from? What color is your shorthorn steer? I showed a all white shorthorn steer last year. I will never will do all white again!! Sound like it should be a big show. i can't wait!!! (clapping)

We went to Lake City over the weekend. We had Grand and Reserve Shorthorn heifers and our Shorthorn Steer and Hereford Steer were 2nd and 5th in a class of twelve. We were pleased. This was my 8 yr. old's 1st show. A reserve and a 5th.

We went to Lake City this past weekend and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a nice show (around 215 calves). We had the Reserve Simmi and Reserve Chimaine. Shortdawg, did you had those two white shorthorn heifers?

There was a pretty good crowd down there maybe 300 calves. It was our first trip to that show. There's not much barn space but, it was kind of fun to fit outside under the oak trees.

In Arcadia we were calling ourselves tent city. The people that i went with left the house at 4:30 am to get space in barns and get trailer space we left at 5:30 am and there was quit a few trailers allready there at 7:30am it was fun. We had all our friends together and everybody that was in our area got nothing below a 3rd. It was exciting, i was pleased with my shorthorn coming in behind the lightweight grand champion and he also ended up OVERALL reserve champion. My little black steer everybody loved, even tho he was going crazy everywhere.

EONF, Those two white heifers were ours. They are 1/2 sibs shown by my two boys. It was their first show together and the youngest's first show ever.
