Our annual Open to the World Feeder Calf show will be held on Saturday August 30th at the Van Wert, Oho county fairgrounds. The show is part of our annual County Fair and will start around 4pm on Saturday. Cattle can arrive Friday evening and up till 11am Saturday morning. They are then weighed and broken in to classes for each division ( Steers and Heifers). Calves must be born after January 1, 2014 and weigh between 350 and 650 lbs. Out of state cattle will need to have health certificates from Veterinarian.
Entry fee is $25 per head. We generally have 3 classes in each division, with payouts for calves finishing first through third. Champion and Reserve are $250 and $150 in each division. Payouts are based on 50 calf (total both divisions) show, subject to being prorated for less.
