I'm no expert but I think it has to do with tails and deformities. Usually they freeze but it's after the thaw to check mobility that the problem arises.

The average divide by two doesn't quite work. If there is a sire with a lot more data than another in a pedigree, bigger data will overrule. Getting into contemporary groups and things of that nature. I certainly don't understand it all but am trying.
