    Have any of you used show string feed for your cattle? would you recommend it?

    county fair

    Do any of you have a prospect steer show at your county fair? Our fair is mid September so many of the calves would be recently weaned. I was just wondering if a prospect show is common in other parts of the country.

    melatonin implants

    Do the implants work more effectively than giving melatonin pills in thier grain? The pills are relatively cheap at the drug store.

    There has been alot of discussion on this board regarding the protocols for using cidrs. We havn't had great luck with cidrs and i am curious to know your opinions regarding the use of lutylase only. Also which protocol is the most successful the one shot deal or the two shot.     Advice--getting young steers finsihed in time

    We have two July-08 born steers and are trying to get them ready for our fair in mid-Sept. 09.  Any advice on how to get them up to 1250lbs. in that time frame?
