find a heating or air conditioner guy and get the squirrel cage fan out of an old furnace. like road warrior said they really move the air. around here you can pick them up real cheap. the one i have moves enough air for two of our show pens which are 16 ft wide.
we use permectin 2 in a diesel base for ticks and fly control in our rope applicators for the pasture cattle and mix it up in a water base and mist the cattle that are in the show barn, both ways seem to work for flys and ticks. good luck farmboy

we have gone so far as buying a few feeder pigs and putting them in the dry lots with some of the more flighty calves. when we would tie the calves up to feed we would feed the pigs right with them. it seemed to calm the calves down some and it also made for a great BBQ later.
