We ran approximately 35 head of FMC calves at higher elevations this summer with their mothers with zero problems.

We had a customer of ours buy a cooler from them and the exact same thing happened. They ordered it and waited and waited. They made calls and emails and could never get anyone. Finally they threatened a lawsuit and magically they got called back. The unit showed up a week after this took place...

For the steer show it is family only. Not sure about jr. Breeding but I think it is the same. Open cattle would be just that open to anyone to show and fit. If you are still looking around Denver time I could always use the extra help.

I would think he would be fine to use on heifers. I used him on some cows this year as we didnt have any replacement heifers to breed this time around. I saw him in Denver and thought he was one of the best mature bulls I have ever seen.

I thought the same thing. Besides some of his high selling bulls never even got displayed...Walks Alone, MAB, In God We Trust...etc.

What happened to Wade this year? I haven't made it out to the yards yet but heard he doesn't have any stalls up. Also if you check his blog and Facebook there is nothing to indicate he is taking anything.

That is interesting. I know quite a few guys around here that swear by using cattle with a little more ear as recips. They claim they get a higher percentage of pregnancies. Interesting to hear different opinions.

I am not real sure why he would be drawing up in his flank. I would try adding some more beet pulp but I would guess once you get him back on full feed it will drop back down.

This is what we do. We pull them almost completely off of the grain (1 lb or so) and give beet pulp and cotton seed hulls. They will still gain a little bit of weight on this which is fine. Then depending on the steer 30-60 days out we start putting them back on full feed. This will help get a...

People have told me that Monopoly 2 and 4 are the best clones. Is there any truth to that I do not really know. I saw both 4 and 5 at stud last year and they were identical.

LOL. I always say I will never use an unproven one again and then breeding season rolls around and I find my self thinking about it again. I did good this year though. No unproven bulls....  (clapping)
