    Giving donors shots

Conventional flush..still plenty of shots needed! Not to highjack the thread, but has anyone gotten along well with the one shot protocol on IVF?  I tried it on 2 this spring, got 1 and 3 embryos.  Went back to the 3 day protocol, and the third donor averaged close to 30 on 3 flushes. I was...

    ET pregnancy rates

It's the time of year that lots of folks are calculating conception rates, be that ai, or ET.  I'm curious how those rates vary across the board. Just talked to a larger ET facility, and they told me that they average 45-55% typically, on conventional, frozen embryos.  I was surprised, as this...

    Spray bottle for fly spray

Jamie, It's called a Spray Master.  I've tried them too, and they do work awhile; longer than any I've tired.  They are a great company to work with as far as holding up the warranty...send a new one right out.  I'm trying that sprayer right now, but each time we get done using it, take the...

    Show Cattle Ethics

Haven't been on here lately, but thought I'd chime in.  Legally, the seller probably needs to do nothing.  However, we need to get past that.  If the seller is in the business for the long haul, and enjoys the business...he is doing it for more than the money.  Go out of your way to make sure...

Our Monopoly x Built Right bull calf

He certainly looks like he'll make a bull to me.  Someone ought to really like the combination of Built Right and Monopoly.  I'd leave them in....performance is certainly good enough also.

    Built Right dead?

Last time it sold on an auction, I think I remember $65 or $75 a unit.  I think you might have to work to find it for that price now....

Nebraska State Fair gets tough on doping, takes away titles.

Very interesting... Flunixin and dexamethasone are steroids that we commonly use in our treatment regime at our place for many, many situations....I would have to think there is some threshold type of "level" that the residue would have to be at before it would be considered performance...

    Coleman Charlo 0256

Bred a couple Simmy heifers to him late last breeding season.  They came on time and came easy.  Jet black, excellent looking calves.  Will positively use him in 2015 breeding!

    can't register calves

Ok, I've read enough and have to chime in here.... People need to realize....there are much more important things than money!!!! This fellow bought a certain mating, and probably paid a pretty good price for the embryos.  Granted, he did a great job placing in quality recips and got 3...
