Best Clubby Bulls for Charolais Cow

What bulls does everyone think would work best with this Charolais cow to produce club calves? We are thinking of starting with Fu Man Chu and Monopoly. The pictures are of her, a son, and a daughter.

    VCR Sir Duke 914 Daughter

Thank You for your comments! Here is her registration information: Registration#:F998279                                                   Name:MV207LADYDUKE64P ET I have been really thinking about flushing her to Cigar before I breed her (I only have two straws left). I know that the 914xCigar...

    VCR Sir Duke 914 Daughter

I have a 914 daughter that I am going to breed here pretty soon (we just got done flushing her to grid maker and cool rep). Her dam is Lady GI 207 for you Charolais breeders out there. Does anyone have any ideas on a bull that might click well with her?

    AI Supplies

I would not hesitate to get in touch with Bovine Elite. They have AI Kits and semen tanks. I attended a clinic there this fall and they have been great to work with.

    First Calf Charolais Heifer

I would breed her to WR Wrangler to get a good first calf out of her with no worries during calving time at all. I don't know a lot about many of the show bulls, but I do know that there are very few that I would breed a heifer to. If she is larger framed, as a lot of charolais are, you could...

    Heifer Bulls

You might think about using one of the calving ease Charolais bulls on the market today. WR Wrangler will throw some cool show calves if that is the route you want to go. If it were me, I would use LT Ledger. He is the most popular bull on the market right now and believe me he is the real deal...

    AI in bad weather?

I am planning on breeding some of my uncle's cows for him later this afternoon, but the weather decided to get pretty nasty last night. The wind is blowing at 15 mph, it is 32 degrees, and it is snowing like crazy. Does anyone know whether or not we should go on with the breeding of these cows...

Opinions on flushing a 20 year old cow

I would definitely try IVF if you want to do any flushing. We just recently did this with a 14 year old Sir Duke 914 cow and she produced 38 oocytes, which should translate into about 13 or so embryos. This would most likely be your best chance at getting a good flush out of a cow that old.

    Charolais Flush Options

I'm always up for as many pictures as you would like to post! I hope you get some pics of the calves you have out of him that would be great. I'm definitely looking forward to when the semen becomes available to the public.

    Charolais Flush Options

That is how I am too I have not put much importance on shoulders as long as there is nothing extreme but I probably should. I have that catalog at home and I do really like the Lot 3 and Lot 1 bull. Take a look at the EPD's on lot 3, WOW!! I just can't wait until the videos of the bulls are up...

    Charolais Flush Options

I was very impressed with your Firewater cow and if anything she made me like him more. The main problem with Firewater for me is that where I am located it is hard for us to do anything but sell bulls to commercial cattleman, and the show look that Firewater has is not always desirable to our...
