    I-80

All of those bulls are good, but I don’t know if any of those are heifer safe besides woodrow. Do you have a picture of your american heifer? Kinda hard to give suggestions when we don’t know what she looks like and how much character she has.

    I-80

Woodrow isn’t a half blood but if you are worried about character he might not be your best option. I wouldn’t use I-80 either, if I have seen an I-80 American then it wasn’t good enough for me to recall. And if that mating worked then more people would use it. I’d explore other options.

Judging conformation of AI bulls and selecting an appropriate sire

One of your biggest concerns (and rightfully so) is longevity and structure. While that guide is undoubtable useful, in practice it is a lot harder to apply what you see and read in that guide to live animals. Since confirmation and longevity is one of your main points of focus, I would try to...

    Maine Bulls

I have a Reimann's firewater X ali x hoodoo heifer that I want to AI this fall. I'm looking for a pb or high % maine to bred her to. She's good legged and footed, moderate, and good bodied/ribbed, and feminine headed without having an narrow I-80 skull but she's a bit plain as far as looks...

Where have all the readers/posters gone?

Ok, I’ll bite. I have been a member since 2010, but rarely post but was an avid reader until about 2 or so years when I slowly started to not read as much. In fact, this is the first time in about 6 months that I got on. I wanted to see what people thought of the display Bulls in Denver. When I...

    2017 Denver Display Bulls

Yea, I have seen other better structured Hereford bulls this year that I would use before him. But that doesn't mean the rest of him wasn't good. He could have been shallow bodied, bowed hocked, and narrow, but he wasn't. I wouldn't use him because of his shoulder but I also saw a pretty...

    2017 Denver Display Bulls

When I saw him, I definitely thought he was straight fronted and his knee needs to be laid back in him more. But still was a nice bull tho, other than that.

    marbling ability

This is a little off topic because it doesn't apply to cattle, but still applies to marbling ability. But why are durocs and Berkshire are the only swine breeds to marble?

Is she worth the work? Opinions

They asked if she was good enough or worth the work to compete in a big class at their state fair, which sounded like they were on the line about taking her cause they weren't sure how she was going to stand in the quality of those harder classes. They didn't mention or ask if she was good...

    Denver 2016 Bulls

Here are my thoughts from when I looked at the bulls. Rodger's Bull Getcha Some was my favorite followed up his other bull Mr. Misunderstood. Both were extremely well made and put together really well. As well being two of the best and boldest bodied there and still being really attractive. They...

What to breed Maintainer heifer to?

You need to add the pedigree of your heifer. You will get more replies that way  (thumbsup)

    In deperate need of help

I agree 100%. You don't know the lady or circumstances. Maybe instead of a self righteous hero trying to help an animal neglecter maybe that this old lady's husband probably did 95% of the work with the cattle. And maybe the wife was to softhearted to sell the herd while he is alive, and too...
