Anyone at Louisville-really want stall pic FROM BEHIND-QUIET MAN

I will never understand EPD's in the show ring, just judge the animal in front of you and leave the paper at the announcers table.

Canadian DNA test for determining breed composition

We deal with this company through our breed association, I find that there reliability on just sire verification can be suspect at times.  We are a small herd and had a spot test for verifying a calf to both dam and sire, it came back as not a match to either.  It was the only calf born on our...

    Favorite Brand of Cattle Feed

Who ever delivers when they say they will and provide a consistent product.  Gave up on a feed company 3 years ago when they were consistently 2-4 weeks late on deliveries.

    Using Lute

We have done them at 8 months and had them get bred the following spring.  Dex just helps to make sure they abort the fetes if they are bred.

    Using Lute

If we ever suspect a young heifer may have been bred we give them Lute and Dex and it seems to work every time.

    Bale processor

We had a haybuster and went to a bale king, big mistake.  Bale King looks durable but its not.  I will be going back to a haybuster when the time comes.

Desperate need of help with open wounds due to halter breaking!!

I have never been a fan of leaving halters on calves when they are not being worked with, if you let them drag the halter we find all it encourages is them to put there head down when they feel pressure because they are stepping on the halter.  We also feel it is very dangerous and can up with...

    ProFarm Panels

We will never allow a panel with loops for legs back on the place after we had a calf get his head stuck in there once.  As for the quality I wouldn't know but I find you usually get what you pay for and we just save our money and buy Hi-Hog panels now.

    Bulls sterile

Our main herd sire hadn't passed a semen test for 2 years but bred every cow he was ever with, this year we had a cow slip her calf on the ice early so we put her in with the bull when she was standing 2 weeks before we semen tested and this year he passed with flying colors.  Just needs the old...

Market price vs. Purebred Sales price

If they let bulls sell for under market value then they only have themselves to blame.  Anyone that has ever sold seed stock by auction know that you need to set a floor price to protect yourself from stuff like this happening.

    Ford pickup warranty work issues

As a dealer its in your best interest to fix a truck under warranty even if it wasn't bought there.  We bought a used ford truck from a dealer and after we had a major engine failure we phoned back there to get it towed and fixed and they said they wouldn't even look at it for 2 months (very...

    Herd bull before turnout

It's amazing to see how many herds the HF Tiger bull has been able to work so well in, to me that's the true measure of a great bull.  Your bull looks good and has that Tiger look to him.
