Correction. You have to be 15/16 shorthorn to be considered a pure. Anything lower all the way down to a 50% can show as a plus. Anything down to a 25% can be registered as a plus but is not eligible to show
Just saw him last week as a mature bull. I liked him more there then out at Denver. Don't know about calves out of him. But he's developed into a very nice, masculine bull who isn't a sawed off midget like some of his counterparts
