Well I'm not as skeptical as I was, we just now had a Blaze bull calf 76 pounds which is a little below average weight for our herd, on his feet in no time. Last year we had one 80# from a cow who has had some big calves. Would still like to hear from others, 2 calves certainly don't tell...
I have an 800 pound 12 month old 3/4 Sim 1/4 Scottish Angus heifer sired by TNGL Grand fortune, would like to breed her next month to Blaze of Glory, has anyone used him on heifers? Her dam is one of the easiest calving cows I have ever had, really short labor every time. Very nervous about...
Banamine is an anti- inflamatory, sort of like giving them aspirin, so it may help. Why don't you ask the vet who gave the injection what he recommends?
Thanks, yes, the genetic data in ASA states that the genetic potential is there for red and horns, but he hasn't been tested. I wonder does anyone know of any red or horned progeny from this bull?
I am working with my vet on it, just wanted opinions from people who have experience with it. He wants me to wait a few more days if I can, but I don't know if the cow can take it, and wanted to get an idea of what to expect.
I have a cow with an injured hip, 275 days along, hate for her to have to carry the calf much longer. Her normal gestations (6 of them) have been 275 to 289 days, she doesn't look ready to calve yet. anyone have experience or recommendations on using dexamethazone and estrumate?
Thinking of using Combustible and Cajs Blaze of Glory on my Sim x Aberdeen Angus cows, but like the looks of Allegiance, any opinions? I posted this before but had his name wrong, that's why I'm re-posting.
Does anyone know if the Simmental bull CAJS Blaze of Glory is homozygous polled or carries the horn gene? Also any reports on calves from heifers, I need a white face calving ease sire.
