    Problematic Steers

The steers you are talikng about must be pretty close to a year old and should have been broke a long time ago.  I would venture to say that you need to spend a little more time in the barn working with your animals.

    Drugs for Hauling/Show Stress

This is good, I would also look at Rep-Gel Plus!! My favorite. Replamin Plus Gel is a supplemental source of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, formulated to be fed during periods of stress, such as weaning, transportation, showing, and other times when feed intakes may be decreased, as well...

    Char cross heifer we raised

She looks plenty powerfull.  I would go to work on softening her up and adding some center of body to her.  If she were mine wet beet pulp would be in her diet as well as free choice hay.  G-Luck

    Joint question

If it's that size I would just leave it alone other than some hydro therapy.  I agree with your Dr not to drain it.  If it is something you think will cost you in the ring at your fair then drian it the day before check in.

    man among boys calves.

Traveling across the state of Texas doing Chiropractic work I will say MAB has three of the top five colored show steers I have seen thus far.  A lot of good ones out there.  Solid Gold still top dog for Charolais colored steers.

    Belt Buckle Bonanza

The solid black steer is going to need a change of attitude to be a player in Ft Worth.  Also, I'm not sure where that limmi going with his size and maturity but I don't think it classes that breed at the Texas majors.  I fell in love with their Hereford.  Congrats to the Skiles Family, they won...

    San Antonio age?

It of course depends on the steers frame and what breed you want to show but August/September is a good middle of the road age in my opinion.

    Big Softy calves

Only one this year out of a heifer and she is very nice, soft made, deep bodied, and pretty fronted.  All my heifers will be bred to Big Softie this fall. Two thumbs up for me.

Would Texas ever open their major shows to out of staters?

I would have to agree the answer is no, the logistics just wouldn't allow it. Most facilities that host the majors are at max capacity already. Heck, it takes five days to get these shows completed already. What in the cornbread does this have to do with the topic?

    Hot Ration for Show Steer

I'm curious to know why you are going to a hot ration with summer approaching? I'm assuming you mean a high corn high energy ration correct? Just be careful how hot you go because you could negatively affect your conversions and possible burn more fat than you put on.  Remember energy is heat...
