    Thriller Bull

I bred a Monopoly heifer to Mr Driven and got a real pretty paint.  Calve came very easy for her. Oh and the high demand for Thriller may be because he is dead.  Semen is expensive too.

    Thriller Bull

I used Thriller on Shorthorn heifers without an issue.  To me they did not have enough grow to them. Stayed very moderate. Look at Ali's Solution if she is free or Jesse James if she isn't.  Good Luck

Any reports yet?? I'm going to use him on American cross cows to try to get one that will classify.  Looks like he has some leather on his video. Thanks

    TJLA Fall classic

I guess I need to add that I had a very enjoyable FC with friends and Family.  I won the heavy weight Charolais steer class, had a class winning Santa Gertrudis heifer, and a baby steer that surpassed my expectations.  Not to mention the numerous other successes I had fitting with good friends...

    TJLA Fall classic

The steer numbers way down... Winner was a ringer brought in from out of state.  This is the reason the numbers are down.  People aren't going to take the time to go as long as it continues to be a Ryan Rash dog and pony show.

Which clubby heifer would make the best cows?

IMO, the first three on your list are for making show steers not momma cows. Most of them will not have the frame score needed to bred back to the clubby bulls being used today.

Work in the Show Cattle Industry

I wish you the best on finding work.  One problem I see down here in Texas is young adults graduating with an Ag degree and no where to work.  They end up working at places that barley support themselves much less earn enough to raise a family.  Shoveling the poop in another man barn not very...

    Bodacious Spring Born Steer

Thanks Colby Collins for putting another good one in my barn.  Despite a lot of rumors about sloppy fronts this one is bred right.  Pretty fronted and very gentle. Just a nice complete steer. (clapping)

    Halter Breaking Problem

If it keeps up I would have a Chiropractor check her neck. I've worked on calves that wouldn't lead because it hurt their neck when you pulled on the halter.  I see this most often when people use extreme force such as tractors, 4-wheelrs, or what ever to try to break their projects.  This is a...
