I really like the boomer blood line.  I have a boomer x hard core bull that I use as a cleanup and have sold several show heifers and show steers out of clean cows.  Throws awesome hair, good attitudes and cows that milk.

I used 1 straw this past spring on a big i67 that did a lot of winning.  I even dropped the straw before loading, picked back up and she stuck, no pasture exposure.

Thanks for the information.  I breed all of my cattle on natural heats with patches.  I may give them a shot one when I put the patches on, but I usually just walk up to them and slap a patch on while they are eating hay.  I do some custom breeding at the farm where some people drop them off...

I was wondering who has given a shot of Multmin @ A.I. and how were the results?  I know they recommend 30 days before the start of breeding, but if you only breed on natural heats and don't want to take an extra unneeded trip thru the chute. Also, who gives a shot of Multimin when you insert...

I'd try straight pre-con w/ the beet pulp.  I would give her access to grass hay after she was done eating all the pre-con that she will.
