I don't think there are showing teams at any big college.  The ones that have purebred units(that show) have the workers at the units showing or the unit manager.

I have a set of premier Hairheads that I use on my lambs and have used a couple times on calves.  I love them things!  They are very balanced making them easy for me to manuver and do a good job with.  Some people think they are kind of loud, but I don't really see them as any  louder than any...

I don't know about your area, but 4 years ago when I looked at getting a heifer the farm nearest me wanted 2000 starting price for the bottom calves.  Never went and looked at em but he said I'd be hard pressed to find one under $1500.  Just saying...lowlines are about the same too

Good deal!  I sold a much smaller calf at $725 ish this spring at an auction...he looks like he'd do really good carcass to me too!  Yeah, he's got some extra flab up front, but you can look at it as having more brisket to eat :)  hehe I love me some brisket.
