    Clones and breeding.......

Oh lordy...how I miss our old lean mac!  He was given as a tip to my dad when he was guiding a hunt for a nice older couple when he was still doing that.  He was flown from Maine to st Louis.  That guy was old, but he was a good dog while we had him.  He had gotten his Canadian and American...

    Opinions on young show persons

Depends on calf.  My two neighbor boys (6 and 4) come to help feed sometimes, and I have a 3 year old cow that they get to feed on their own and play with.  They sit on her, rub her belly while she's eating, give her hugs, etc...  Would I let then do this on any others...heck no!  They know not...

    Breeding question

Could she have taken to the ai and just be not settling with it and slipping it?  My vet is normally 100% certain at exactly 30 days...we double checked with ultrasound as well.

    Riding, anyone??

Jw, how do you keep your saddles from sliding forward? I just ride my cow bareback because I figured the saddle would go forward like a little withered pony.  Her bun in the oven will have to have something fun to go with it...I might not be allowed to show if it doesn't LOL

    Miniature Hereford Pair

That looks like one stout little calf! I really like him! I am using a regular hereford/Angus to produce some percentage lowlines, and this last calf was 70# at 5 days late.  These little guys are just awesome, that calf was stout thick, and fed really easy! He was 440 when I sold him in...

I show POAs so its nice to see a solid baby when its supposed to be!  It doesn't matter how "tough" you get baby season is always the best!  I expect to breed one of my mares here in about 4 or...

    fluid on legs

I had a show horse that got fluid on his back legs after a long haul or a while being stalled.  We would cold hose it-take off the nozzles just these water pressure straight outta the end of the hose.  Then we would take vet wrap and pressure wrap it-start not too tight and get tighter over the...
