Hell of a set of calves this year. (thumbsup)

Well here he is. We Aussies have no idea so tell me what you think. Very green been shut in a yard off cow for 5 days so not looking his best. Rat tailed but dead quiet hoping he will be right for my six year old sons first calf. Thoughts

He would have to be happy with that calf. A lot of bone in him (thumbsup) . A great looking bunch of calves. All you need now is spring and watch them jump away.

Just clocked in to this thread. Some interesting ideas. To me in commercial herds it is hard to justify cows past 10 and some may argue past 8 if the cows calve at two because weaning weight decreases. Seedstock  produces however I feel can justify old cows for the value of the genetics they...

AJ I would say 90% of seedstock producers here scan their contemporary groups of bulls prior to sale I am surprised that is not the case over there. However the scan data does not always correlate or change EVBs

It's that day again. Happy Australia Day

Fires in our state have settled down but everyone is still very much on edge. A good spring and now a dry summer has meant a lot of long dry feed for fires to travel quickly. The biggest fire here burnt over 100 houses and killed thousands of sheep and hundreds of cattle but thankfully no lives...
