    Breeding

I don't think you would have any problems with breeding the February calf in early April as long as you stick with a calving ease bull.  I have bred heifers to calve at 22 months with no problems.  I don't think I would want to breed the April heifer at 12 months old though.  I would rather...

    oster clipmaster repair

There used to be a service center in Memphis.  (Appliance Service Center, I think)  They did repairs and sold parts.  I used to order parts for some old A2 clippers that we had at the vet clinic on a regular basis.

    best gooming chute?

I bought the 7 ft. hybrid cadillac chute a couple of years ago and am pleased with it.  I guess the size you want depends on what you plan on using it for.  My 7 ft. has been plenty big enough for yearling show heifers and finished steers.  If your using it for mature bulls or cows, or big...

    prolapysed uterus..

In my experience, those cows that prolapse their uterus once will do it again.  I was a vet tech for 11 years and we always recommended to cull the cow after the calf is weaned.  We actually put the uterus back in the same cow 3 years in a row.  After the third time, the owner said he was...

    Growing my herd...

Awesome!  Is the cow taking them both?  Both my sets of twins are growing good.  I hope you have the same success.

    Freeze branding

Other than the stress of running them through the chute, I wouldn't think so.  Nothing I can think of procedure-wise that would negatively effect a 3rd trimester cow.

    OT Utility vehicle

We've got a Kawasaki Teryx.  It's 4wd and got really good suspension (due to it being a "sport" model) but it's a gas engine.  I dont think you can go wrong with a Polaris Ranger.  Also really good suspension, and you can get it in a diesel.  Having used both, those are my picks.  The suspension...

heifer won't lead at wits end with her need help show is on march 10th

Try leading in small circles.  Then work to bigger circles and leading in a straight line.  With the small circles they're just pivoting in place, but their feet are moving.  Also, if you've never had her off your farm, load her in the trailer and taker her somewhere new (even if its just the...
