    Opinions on Angus bull type

I like big don other than the testicle issue. It looks so bad he would be to the sale barn shortly after turn out with cactus in his scrotum. Thanks for the info, I would have to say he is throwing nice calves

    Opinions on Angus bull type

Bonsma was a super interesting guy and probably one of the best animal scientists period. Call me crazy but the fourth bull down Mannington of Wye.... What a stud! perfect hind leg, there actually is one in the angus breed..... also had a great tail set, good front, super sound, and if we had a...

    Heifer Progression

I'm sure this heifer has a ton of shape, she looks like she could produce some very high yielding progeny. I feel like her glaring fault would be her lack of feminity. If she was better there I think we could nit pick tiny things but start there and you will have a lot more fans.

    Fully loaded -Red Angus bull

Depending on what you are doing his birthweight is way too high to sell bulls. Other than that he has sired a lot of high performance, heavy muscled cattle, and he has quite a few sons that sell a lot of semen. And grandsons for that matter.

If I could start all over again I would......?

I myself have really enjoyed this thread. I have been doing a lot of thinking on how to go out on my own so I am taking everything that is being said and really evaluating it. Right or wrong I love hearing everyone's opinion as it helps me evaluate every aspect of what I am doing.

    BR Midland Genetics

Bush's Sure Deal 33, Not many out there right now but I dropped by Malsons the other day and that bull is a full 7 frame with lots of style, not bad numbers either. Nice cow by the way.

    Red Angus Bulls

Aj, the epic calves are really good, maybe a touch too moderate for some and a little flatter but big ribbed sound good females. Of all the bulls you have mentioned on here to outcrossing to your line red Durham red lancer bloodlines he would be it

    Red Angus Bulls

Beckton Colt 45 is still around, his negative rea epd probably hurts him pretty bad, he is on accelerated's website. C bar ranch has a really good son that is unproven. I don't know much about Hamley's as cows but the ones I have seen seem to be really fleshy. To the original poster: Nice...

    Red Angus Bulls

I think there is some merit to this, however, I would never want it to be a common practice because I can already see the "curvebender" bulls that would come out of that train wreck....tiny heads and big bodies! Haha, sure it has some effect but little head with big shoulders still equals c...

    Red Angus Bulls

btw-RCR-before you took the pic down I got to see him and that is one good footed heavy muscled bull. Just curious, he was an ET baby wasn't he?

    Red Angus Bulls

I would agree with TC Card Shark, One that is proven and a little extreme in terms of low bw but would def. do what you wanted feminine wise is LCC Above and Beyond. Another would be a son of his red global trust 21t. Depending on how big she is and what condition ( I couldn't get the pic to...

    Low WW high YW

I can kind of see where you are going with this but I'm not sure the beneficiary is the guy who ships them wet off of the cow. My family backgrounds and then sells them at yearling or retain to get paid on the grid. This system works well but just as in your article you posted there is a point...

    Our Charolais Herdsire

Yes he is purebred and his reg # is M792834. Pay not attention to the milk epd, I don't think that is accurate in any breed.
