We have a cow that was due to TM Gus on 9/10/10. She is now 5 days overdue. When do you start to worry? She has a little milk and mucus, but that is about it. Anyone who has had Gus calves, do they seem to come late? Thanks, Jordan

Oh my gosh! Prayers for you and your family that is devastating! We lost a cow a few years ago to a lightning strike.  She was 10 days from calving. I hope your luck turns around! Jordan

Shady Lane- you would be surprised how much herding instinct they have.  Our male, the daddy of these pups, is always trying to herd our cattle.  They are a lot smaller than the full sized aussies, which makes it harder for the cows to kick them.  (dog)

You might want to try making a splint for his legs. In the past, we've taken paint sticks and put them on either side of the leg and wrapped it with either vet wrap or an ace bandage to help support the leg. Hope it works out! Jordan
