If you and beefmaster have your calves at the same barn maybe you could work something out if you have not already about helping each other, tie each others calves, walk each others while yours is eating that way even when one of you can't be there they are still being worked a little. 

I think it depends on the animal if it is eating well then there is no reason,  if it is picking around and not really eating then I think it can help we used to do that with pigs and was told to do that for dogs also.

Our fair you can sell 2 animals but only one can be beef,  at other local fairs you can sell 2 animals if one is a beef, if no beef you can sell 1.  We have sheep, pigs, goats, beef and some small animals

We have both the econony and the cadillac stell on the economy one you can not move the side bars in to as many positions and they ate round it is not as heavy as the cad but still alot heavier than an allun.  I wish we would have bought an allun to start.

make sure he has been wormed,  maybe feed hay a few feedings and then try, if it is hot make sure you feed early in am before it gets too hot and a little later in evening after it starts to cool off.
