Need help identifying steer skin condition

Whats the weather been like at your place? Are you washing and blowing right now? How often? I don't think it is lice, usually don't get crusty skin with lice. Never hurts to pour again though. I would say more of a rain rot, hot spot issue. I agree with the MTG. It covers a few different issues.

    AI-ing

If you have the time and opportunity to learn anything new do it. Don't rely on anyone if you can help it. Best thing I did was go and learn even though my husband was great at it. Have had lots of times since I learned that he couldn't be there and since I knew how to too, it saved headaches.

    albertan's, a special breed

Which town was only 15 minutes away? Were the roads to it passible? They took out 20+ people, that were still in town. Were they all there just because they didn't know or were unable to leave? Or did they have other motives, like to loot when no one was looking? What about pets left behind...

    albertan's, a special breed

Some of the houses were not flooded, yes, but like was said no utilities, If they flushed their toilet it would not be sanitary for the rest of the town.  No safe running water to those homes either. It was safer to lock them out until some order was restored. Letting in just some people to get...

So they should have let 13000 people shit on their front lawns?

    albertan's, a special breed

I didn't watch the whole video. Now the RCMP searched homes and took out 20+ people that did not or could not evacuate. They also went in and took out pets that were left behind or the owners were not able to go back and get them. There was one case where a parakeet was feed and watered, so not...

    Ringworm help!

You don't need to scrap it. That just takes the healing process longer. A couple times putting what ever on it, I use the bacon grease and after the first time the white scabby stuff will fall off and then you are on your way to healing. The grease also keeps the skin moist and promotes hair...

new shorty herd sire opinions welcome

Who is "our"? Who are you speaking for? I for one don't like people speaking for me, I make my own decisions and stand behind them and if they don't work out I don't blame others. I would like to see the documents you are talking about from the associations also.

    Ringworm help!

Not sure what else you need as you have the treatments already. I would just treat the spots a couple times a day if possible for a week or so. If there is no more white crusty stuff should be dead and then you should see hair grow back. Wear gloves as you can get it from the calves. Once the...

    Steer Traits

It isn't a one or anything, but a combination of all of those. You may have to have some give and take, but to just buy a calf on one of those traits will get you no where. A show steer needs all of the above to be competitive.
