We've used something like this to keep their ears close to their heads to keep them warm. They stayed on nicely and didn't seem to bother the calves at all.

Ranch House gave us a bunch of different options, we picked the one that was the closest to what we were looking for and then they reworked that one until it was exactly what we wanted. It was a great experience.
We had an online sale last year and the year before and went back to doing a phone sale this year. We sold more calves to new customers through Facebook this year than we ever did in an online sale. Maybe it was just a weird year but we are planning another phone sale for next year.
Go to the National Western. You might find what you are looking for in one of the breed sales, or someone might have what you want for sale private treaty in the yards. We've purchased bulls out of the Chi and Maine sales that worked great for us.

Just starting to see pictures of the aftermath and there was a lot of livestock affected by these tornados just a few miles south of us. There are many feedlots in that area. Praying for everyone involved.
This "circus" is about 15 miles away from us (clapping). Here is an article from the local paper that was written a couple months ago.

Here is one of the Lut heifers for Firesweep, we are extremely happy with her, she is lot 44 on Sullivan's Maternal Legends sale. Her full sister (Lot 45) isn't too shabby either. ;)
Well we went with Upgrade and Lut and are pleased with the calves we have on the ground. This is one of the Upgrade heifers, we feel that she will make a tremendous cow. We flushed her again this spring to Chopper and got 21 eggs and we are setting her up again for a flush to a yet to be...
This is one of our Two Tone calves, he is the only one of 3 with any color at all, even bred to a Shorthorn plus cow. He is out of a Meyer/Angus cow. Born unassisted, great hair and super stout.
This heifer is on our sale along with a PB simmy heifer who also came from the group of cows we bought from our neighbor, it's looking like the whole group was a pretty good buy! ;D
