two more pics what do yall think about these two steers

What do you think he will weigh in 8 months?  You can keep him around 1300 but will he be to stale. If he gains 3 lbs day he will weigh 1525 in March. Nice calf though. David

two more pics what do yall think about these two steers

I like the Angus, but think he is gonna be way to big for Houston or way to stale. Looks like he already weighs 900 to 1000. David

    My Turn

I guess I have been raising Angus so long I forgot what big bone was. Last winter on here I asked about My turn on Angus cows. Some positive feedback led me to buy a few straws and try him on reg Angus. This morning I had a My Turn Bull out of a 14 yr. old Wehrmann cow and I didn't know that 1...

    White Shorthorn Bulls

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. What kind of milkers do Vegas and Sin City produce? I don't want to have a herd of hard calvers but I do want a clubbier phenotype with a stout hind leg. What about some of the unproven white bulls? Buddy Love, The Bartender etc...

    White Shorthorn Bulls

I am thinking about infusing some shorthorn genetics into my angus herd. Would like to use a white bull. My main goals are replacement females with prettier fronts and better hips than angus. Any reccommendations will be appreciated. Thanks David

I bred 15 angus to him last winter and had the first calf today. 55 lb heifer, pretty good but really small. I used him because of his performance and hopes of some replacements. Also bred some to My Turn and had the first one today 75 lb heifer with a ton of hair and really good bone out of an...

    Opinions on flush

She is the mother to the heifer in my avatar. I have never pictured her and she is 11 years old so she is not in the prime of her phenotypic life. I will have to look for her reg. #.

Focus of Breed Program (Let's Start Over - With Photos)

You have got some good looking cattle and they have performance and carcass. I wish I could go with out feeding hay that would save me a fortune. Do you feed any liquid?

    Opinions on flush

I have a Reg. Angus Donor due to come in heat tommorrow morning. She has worked with everything she has been bred to. I am thinking of flushing her to Dr. Who and Thriller or should I Flush her to an Angus bull that she has had proven progeny.. She is an Oscar 711  and adds style and power. My...

    How much FSH is enough?

Thanks Cowboy. Cow is an 11 year old Angus. She has bred on the first a-i every year of her life. She has never been flushed. We usually give 9 1/2 cc's over 4 days on other cows and yield 6-8 #1's. Everyone always wants to get more embryo's per flush and I don't want to over stimulate her but...
