So its my first time to go the Junior Heifer show at Fort Worth! Really excited. Any tips? I know the lines are going to be terrible... How early should I try and get to the show to even try to spend a decent amount of time in line?

Jawbreaker is my favorite bull I've seen pictured so far. He looks like he will get the job done!

Ok we have this calf who just turned 6 months, she was about to be weaned. She was fine yesterday, was running around. But today we woke up and her dam was bellowing, so we went out to find her and she was laying flat an couldn't stand up, so we got her in the trailer and took her up to the vet...

Honestly I disagree, I am definitely more of a newbie to the show calf world, but watching sale results this summer and fall, I feel like I saw quite a few more high sellers out of Monopoly then HeatWave this year. Do I think that HeatWave is still probably one of the go to bulls for producing...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always felt like WMW is probably the top "club calf" maternal bull out there...

Whatever happened to these 2? I thought both of them looked promising when I saw the pictures of them. And Texas Twister looked ridiculously stout. But I haven't seen calves out of either. Any insight or pics of calves?

I'd say I-80 or Boardwalk, I haven't seen a whole ton of boardwalks but the ones I've seen are cool  O0

Dont worry! I definitely have bigger Plans for this girl then to kill her by breeding her to anything with HW influence in those first 2 calves

I'm still not really sure how I will be breeding her, except as of now her first calf will most likely end up being by ZNT Montego Bay. But I do love the looks of eye candy! And I was definitely curious as to if he would work. Ah gotcha! Any tips on the underline hair? Like taking care of it...

I would appreciate any and all opinions on this heifer. My first 4H beef project, i've shown longhorns for almost 5 years now, but this heifer is definitely a different level lol. She is a DMCC Limited Edition, out of a BKRI Trendsetter out of a cow who is a  Hall's Legacy Plus X Pannell Miss 4072

Contact 4J family cattle, I got my Maine Anjou show heifer from them this year, they have some awesome females, and Zane Mai was very helpful when I went out there, and has been very willing to help since I got her. Great people great cows. (Zane is ZNT. On here)

Ok last year I competed in the scrambles at fort worth and San Antonio, I caught at both so I now have to go back and exhibit my Maine Anjou heifer. Looking at the dates for San Antonio, the Maine heifers show on Thursday, but my county (tarrant) show has their jr. Heifer show the next day...
