List all time rock songs and all time country song

Ridin The Storm Out - live version by REO Speedwagon, maybe the best rock song ever. The Highwayman by The Highwaymen for country, mostly because it has 3 of my 4 favorite artists ever. Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show for "new" country.  Just like their original a little better than...

    Lautner Semen Sales

When I look at this picture, I can't help but think back to the dwarf Herefords of the late 1960's.  Right down to the short nose.

You might be a beef producer if, changing your child's diaper has made you gag, but you will give mouth to nostril to a newborn calf.

    one thing you could change

Way back in 1979 I had a pretty decent little steer in a lightweight class.  This was right when the bigger is better craze was starting, and he was about 53" tall and weighed 1150, almost finished.  We got second, and the calf that beat us was a tight gutted 55 or 56" tall steer that weighed...

    Bull

Wow, I really need to start wearing my glasses.  Before I blew up the pic, I didn't realize their was a cow behind him and thought he had the worst roach top I had ever seen. (lol)  Really impressive, I love his muscle expression and masculinity.

Isn't Show Stock Planet an online sales site?  I think Habeger runs it.

    opinions on shorthorn cross steer

You may be right. I was just looking at the kind of performance he had already shown, being 1020 at a year, and projected some performance hereafter.

    opinions on shorthorn cross steer

I thought the same thing at first, but then worked a little math.  He has about 120 days till the show, so at 3 pounds per day adg, he would be 1380 before any shrink.  He does look good, but how tall is he?  Seems like he might be a little large framed.

    NO BULL SALE PRICES

I think she brought $8,000.  I have no idea who bought her.

    Sugar Ray

I also grew up just down the road from Bobby May.  Sugar Ray put a stamp, and a cool look on his calves that hadn't been seen before.  And as hard as it is to believe, he was considered too small when he was a calf, and people thought he should have been stered.  When he first came out he was...

    $600,000 world record Hereford

I also noticed that his sires semen sales have been stopped as of March first.  Seems like a pretty good marketing idea.

    Cow Problem, need 2nd opinion

I agree that it is not common, but part of the equation is that most cows that are gaining back time are late calving to begin with.  These cows weren't in there third trimester until the cold weather was done.  It is much more likely for them to return to a normal cycle after 45 to 60 days than...

Totally off the wall question here...

Oh, I know a lot of the obnes with blacl noses had some chi in back of them.  The two lines we had with black noses were in our herd since before 1960, and were little frame four cows.  Long before the chi's started getting introduced.  I'm sure there had to be something back a ways, maybe even...

Totally off the wall question here...

The black nose deal is kind of wild.  As long as I can remember, we have had a few Shorthorn bloodlines that have thrown a black nose.  This is going back 40 years.  And Mark T may remember more exactly, but I seem to remember Lazy D having a white bull with a black nose (and a few black spots).

So tell me what you think.

I realy like him, great length, really level topped, good bone, with all four feet pointing the right way.  I take it this is after running with some cows?  Might like him a touch deeper, and just don't love the Red Rider color that came thru.  And if that is the worst I can come up with, he...

    This is crazy

Going off memory, but I think Brock may had grand three years in a row, then was reserve the fourth at Wisconsin State Fair.  I need to look it up for sure.

    Name the Dog

So I guess Steerplanet would be too obvious?

    Name the Dog

Actual name, or the breed?  He is a Corgi, but not sure on the name.

    swinging tail

In my experience, some calves never get over this.  I don't think it is as bad as it was 30 years ago when we tied them up so high you could sometimes break a tail. ::)  Back then we actually would deaden the tail with lidocaine (I think).  Doubt it would be acceptable to do this today.

Maybe look into some probiotics and B-12 shots also.
