    Inside of Steer's ear

without a picture i cant say for sure its a wart, but the best way to do it is to put him in a chute or between a couple gates so he cant jump around and hurt you or himslef, hes gonna get pissed more than likely but you definatley want to take care of it before it gets worse, tie his head where...

    Inside of Steer's ear

my vet always tells me to crush it with a pair of pliers and then pull it off, as long as it is a wart, this gets the virus in their blood stream so they can fight it off and build an immunity to it. Ive done it several times with sucess

    Carpe Diem ?

one thing that everyone needs to realize that i think most people know just forget about sometimes... calving ease and birthweights are affected just as much by the dam as the sire, so if you have a clubby bred momma and your breeding to a "calving ease" clubby sire such as carpe diem you cant...

    What would you do?

Personally i think i would breed about 10-15 of them clubby and then breed the rest of them to a maturnal maine bull. or galloway, i have seen a lot of good galloway genetics the last little while now that im aware of where they are.

Ya ik it! we werent gonna breed her that way but it was one of the last ones in the tank and she came into a heat while i was around, i was a little worried at first but the heifer was premature and weighed just over 50 pounds at birth so i figured dhe would be ok. ik most people probably...

Take a look and help me pick a bull

Bodacious for sure! but the guy that suggested alias is right on. he tends to make a little harder topped calf if you breed him to anything clubby, but on a highly maternal cow like her hew ould stamp it just right. And im a shorthorn guy at heart  <rock> so im gonna just throw this out there...

    breeding quetion

Paddy might work too. just watch the PHA factor. as long as the cow is clean i wouldnt be scared but if shes a suspect i would stick witha clean bull, paddy also doesnt tend to clean up front ends as much from what ive seen.
