    Which clone works best

Which bull are you referring to?  Several different bulls have been cloned.  Original heatwave brings a premium and I always though HW5 was better than the others.  Not sure on monopoly.

Potential genetic defect in Shorthorn cattle

Am I right in that if we didn't ai, that these genetic defects would have been bred out quick.  Survival of the fittest.  However I guess the argument can be made about how can you dramtically improve your herd by outside influence of good bulls as well as cross breeding. Kinda of scary now...

Iowans, who takes the GOP nod? Non-cattle

With the caucus just around the corner, Who is your pick to take the GOP nod? I think Ron Paul had a good shot of winning but won't receive support to get the nomination for president.  I don't know if he could run on the libertarian ticket and get enough support to win if he can't get the GOP...

What makes a show a great show to attend?

Free Food  (lol) All kidding aside, the biggest factors when we showed was distance.  But, if distance was not a factor, I think that shows that are run very professionally - easy weigh in, good stalls, and a  consistent judge.

    Can you over show cattle?

You can always get an extra nervous one but you know from the very start.  We had ones that were completely fine and shows and we showed them quite a bit.  More than anything the preparation before you even think about going to show lays the foundation.

    I.80

I80 is easy calver both in weight and structure.  Haven't used on a heifer but I don't think we would hesitate to use it.  My turn is also an easy calver.

shows with too many rules vs shows without any at all???

Yep, Safe and Humane.  I don't care if you put a wig on the steer, but I do have a problem with airring up the hide and pumping water down the throat.

Class project about concealed carry on college campuses

Not back in the day, never needed a card and gun was displayed in my back window.  Only time I took it down when I was afraid it would be stolen.  I am understand most of these whakos don't have a ccw permit, but I do know that are a lot of trigger happy folks that give these ccw.  The same...
