Heck we have a yellow Gelbvieh cow and a black Maine Anjou bull and we ended up with a white calf! Tell me how often that happens!?

If a judge is going to judge a fair, he needs to know the good qualites between each breed and which calf resembles the best traits of that breed. I don't blame ya for being upset i would be very upset to, i can't believe a judge would do that.

I would say keep her you then can sell some of her offspring because i am sure she will have great offspring, or you can sell her for what you are wanting out of her. She's a really nice heifer that has all the stoutness she needs!

I feel if the owner wants the calf to be in the carcass class, he/she should be able to, but it should make a difference on if the Grand/reserve champion enter, i think  it should be judged on which calf has the best carcass.

Sorry to hear about your illness at least your better now, thats a good thing.

SHOW STOPPER!

I am not a sucker for Herefords but that's a nice Hereford steer.

Not my favorite, but i quess there's a new food on a stick at the Iowa state fair which is a stick of fried butter.

I like this steer, looks like my mine from a year ago.

It's not all about winning, i am happy knowing that all my hard work/effort has paid off. 

What's your favorite thing to do at a cattle show or on show day? I'll start taking care of my show calves, after everything is taken care of i like to sit down and have a conversation with friends and family. And of course being and the show ring.  

What's your favorite thing to do on your farm or ranch? For me its checking the cattle, riding the horses, four wheeling, driving tractors for my dad.
