    Man among boys?

MAB is a great example of a really good one that would not have seen much use without marketing power.  I would not have used him until I saw him in the pasture at Brad Otto's.  I bred 10 cows and those are my best calves as a group.  When Rogers formed a partnership or whatever they did he took...

    ABC Show Heifer

Nice.  I like how smilin bob keeps those big ears on!

    Cows that work with Unstoppable?

I saw a bunch of calves and quite a few Unstoppables.  More power than Monopoly, big bodied and big boned.  They were really nice Except they weren't neat enough up front.  I'd breed him to very good necked cows and he can do the rest.

    Calving Ease with color?

I can't imagine using most of the bulls mentioned here on heifers.  May work but that's a huge risk.  Look into a red angus bull of Dan Leddys called Red Wine.  An extremely good one.  Very unique with maybe the best mothers I've ever seen.

    Lotta Leather

I've not seen calves but heard that the ears may be a little short.  I know ammo will shorten the ears.  I would not think he would throw enough character for exotic cows.

How can people justify buying a steer for $25,000?

When I was showing my parents got me started but then it was my checkbook and financial lesson.  I was lucky and paid for my college by showing steers.  I guess I'm glad that those calves bring that kind of money but I do have a tough time selling them if I know they can't possibly make the...

    MAB bull

I saw MAB last year in the pasture and decided to breed a handful.  They are the best set overall of clubby bulls used.  Great color and more bone and substance than Monopolys.  Really good fronts and, yes more size than Monopoly.  I saw some calves up north that were a little too big but didn't...

    Honors show chow

I worked for the company for 15 years and I know they have great products.  More importantly they have figured out the logistics and how to keep it fresh.  Science is a big part and it's there also but consistency and quality is the key.  Someone asked me after I quit what I was going to feed...

    Man Among Boys

I saw him in the pasture and he was very functional and sound.  Big square hip and top and good footed.  I used a little last fall on shorthorns.

    believe in me?

Hey don't forget slicking them.  A rat tail just won Reserve Grand in Austin at Star of Texas.

Red /White bull. Man Among Boys?

I saw him in the pasture last fall.  Really sound, not a dink but moderate.  Great top, hip and bone.  A touch of shoulder but it fit into his design well.  I used a few straws.

    Red neck shorthorn bull

don't mean to be to negative here but......I have seen a bunch of them and no lie here...I threw away about 400 straws of that semen from an inventory I bought out.  Used a little but he is extremely poor structured.  If you have some cold blooded cows with no clubby in them, he may be okay but...

    Hair Growth Feed Additives.

Honor Show Chow Feeds from Purina have TASCO at recommended level already IN the feed.....along with the other good stuff.

    SAS Sweetmeat & BMR Explorer

I used some sweat meat on some clubby type cows last year and have calves now.  I would agree on the extra skin and ear but that's why I used him also.  Just good sound simmi genetics.

    Steer Feed Question

You can use the Showflexx product (Optafex) or the Showmax (Zilmax) product wich is more aggressive.  The Showmax will help some in just 10 days.  Any longer and it may cause some structure problems, depending on the calf.

    unforgiven

It looked like he worked on common looking simmi angus type females pretty well.  Added style and substance.  He was pretty consistent on the trip I took to Iowa.

    Monopoly or Walks Alone

He's exactly right.  Walks Alone is a cow changer but many I don't think are big enough.  Look good as babies but may be dinks on small to moderate cows.  Monopoly needs to be bred to neat fronted cows with some shape and muscle.  They can also be small on small cows.
